How do you like Clarksville? I'm looking at moving to the Nashville area and really like the Franklin area and west Nashville. My fiance applied for a teaching job up in Clarksville in a new school.

Clarksville is an ok area i guess. I have been stationed here 2 years but only been here for a year. I don't get out a lot but from what i have heard there is not too much stuff for family's to do, like kid stuff i mean, if you have kids. It is a military town so prices on some stuff like rent, furniture, and cars can be overpriced. For anything larger i want to purchase i go to Nashville. Because of the military also some areas have a higher crime rate. Dont live in hopkinsville. That is just bad news, anywhere you can get a 3 bedroom apartment for 300 dollars is asking for trouble. Overall its devent though

Good to know! We don't want to live in Clarksville by any means. Ideally we want to live in Franklin but if she got a job in Clarksville we will have to live a little farther north, about 30 minutes outside clarksville to 30 minutes outside Nashville. I lived in Brentwood last year when I studied in Nashville. Fortunately I did not have to pay rent. Brentwood is ridonculous.

Oh and I'll be in Nashville on Wednesday for a job interview!
