Things are starting to come together. Promotional bits on the way, announcements in the local papers the next couple of weekends. I'm getting more excited as Westiva draws nearer... :blob2:

Only 21 days to go and only two "for sures" :-[

But Westiva will go regardless of the numbers on this list. :-D

what we need to do is get some other car clubs to join us and get a big meet with lots of cars going on, not just limit it to just festivas and aspires....

Not a bad idea. I had thought about inviting other econoboxes from the same era as the Festiva. A friend of mine is a Subaru Justy fanatic.

Hey guys, sorry to say but my dad and I are out this year. The recent storms here forced me to spend my festiva fixing and traveling money on a generator and some other stuff so I can't make it and my dad just moved back to sask. and his festy needs to go through inspection before we can get it plated and who knows what kind of bs they are gonna say we need to do to it. So once again I am truely sorry we can't make it. I was really looking forward to being able to head out there again this year. That being said I now have 12 1/2 months to prepare my festy for next year lol. And don't worry even with all the storms, I have my festy hiding in the garage so it should be safe, as long as the big tree in the back yard doesn't fall on the garage.

Sorry again all, and make sure you all drive safe and take lots of pictures for me.

I saw/heard about those storms. Pretty crazy the damage they caused. How long was the power out for or is it still out?

I agree. I had thought to extend the invitation to Spring FestivaL to the VW hatchies and Geo, Colt, ...Civic:pukeright:... Like you said, all the Hot Hatches. However, our tiny KOA can only house so many before there are TOO many...

We were without power for just over 24 hours and now apparently are only getting rerouted power so we could still be getting rolling blackouts. My father in law is about 15 minutes south of us and he is still without power so he is at about the 48 hour mark now. Since our power is back for the time being i ran our new generator out to his place to run his 2 freezers for him. We are still on a water/sewer usuage conservation mode as the city is having a hard time catching up with the pumping that it couldn't do while the power was out and we really don't need any backing up in the basements... With all the rain that fell there is enough flooding already and clean up that needs to be done.

I was thinking of coming, provided I dont get a job between now and then that requires me to work that weekend (but what are the odds, lol).

Also, provided nobody cares that I sold Ian my Festiva, and will be bringing my own style of Econo-box (2004 Echo Hatchback). (Still gets better MPG than most people get in their Festiva's! (41.1mpg thus far)).

I miss my Festiva though! (But I LOVE my A/C and Cruise, and did I mention it has an UNDER SEAT TRAY! :p)
