You asked for it, you got it. Even though everyone has been planning for this meet for months, we finally have the "Official" Meet thread going.
As many of you know, we had to move the meet this year because some intelligent person decided that they would rather have a toys-r-us in the old shopping center than leave us a space to meet. (BOO HISS)
This year's meet will be October 6th from 10:00-until? Not counting all the hanging out over the weekend at Smedley"s.
The new location is going to be at the O'Reilly's Auto Parts store and the shopping center parking lot next to it. Address is 5610 Atlantic Avenue, Raleigh, NC. For anyone local, it is at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Spring Forest Road. (And, for Batstiva, it is right next to your favorite C-store.) We have been invited by O'Reilly's to hold the meet there and they have secured an OK from the Property Managers to use the main lot. If we have as many cars as last year, we will need it.
In addition to the Auto Parts Store, there are two food places - see below, a Spee Dee Lube if you need an oil change, and two convenience stores.
Like last year-If you drive a Festiva or an Aspire you'll get a meet t-shirt! A sign up sheet is below. Sign up and put your shirt size.
If you’ll want additional shirts make a note beside your name. The cost of the extra shirts are $10.00 each.
Last year was a sunny day so we recommend bringing sunscreen, hats, as well as lawn chairs. In case of rain, we may move to a protected location, so don't let the threat of rain keep you away.

Lodging

WHEN YOU JUST GOT TO EAT:
The annual Friday night cook out will begin at 6PM at Barbara’s home, with another wave around 9-10PMish when the late arrivals roll in. (Food to be determined)
On Saturday, bring any snacks you and/or your family might need, in addition to patronizing the local eateries. Patronizing the merchants in the shopping center thanks them for letting us use the space for the meet.
Snoopy's Hot Dogs is in the Shopping Center next to the meet.
In addition to Hot Dogs, they have Burgers, BBQ and Chicken sandwiches.

There is also a Goodberry's Frozen Custard at the site.
There are other places nearby for lunch if you want to drive.
On Sunday morning, we will meet at Golden Corral for breakfast which is:

Fan Favorite Voting for a Good Cause
Once again, cast your ballots for Fan Favorite, the cost is $1 per vote. As usual the proceeds will go to the AHA, in the name of our founder, Dean Allen. Vote as many times as you like, it’s all for a good cause. This year, there will also be voting for the best beater. This will be for the worst looking/about to fall apart Festiva/Aspire driven to the meet.
We will be doing other awards as well. If we don't have a Farthest Traveled Award, Advanceddynamix will be very upset. We are always looking for ideas for other awards to give out. If you think of one, for something that doesn't have to be judged, let us know.
