  • Iowa Mini meet

Larry Hampton had mentioned he was going to be in Iowa for RAGBRAI. The route took them through Marshalltown, so i took the opportunity and drove his way, we spent a few hours talking about Fords and Festivas, the shade gave us the opportunity to relax, it was 105 today, the weatherman says we are in for a cool down, yup down to 95. It was good to meet Larry and put a face to a screen name. The man knows his Fords

Karl sc72 is to the right and Larry is to the left.

An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Man, it was great to get to meet Karl. I'm sure he felt like a wrestler after spending time with me, cauliflower ear I talked so much. He was also a great help to me in helping me go outside town about 8 miles against the grain of thousands of cyclists to pick up one of my riders that had overheated. I'm happy he was able to take the day off in the middle of the week to meet me.

Larry, did you and your buds make it through that freak thunder storm last night, any hail. We are 60 miles south from you and not a drop. I admire the RAGBRI riders, 105 in the shade and riding like there was no tomorrow. Talk about die hards, one of the guys in Larrys group is 69 and looked great after riding 70 some miles.

I to know of a Karl from Ohi

Hello Dan, how goes the projects. I'm always willing to help.

Just got internet, on.east side of KC at Olive Garden.

Had to move the pop-up beside the bus.

Lots of no internet or cell phone access all across the state (AT&T).

Rolled into town 1:30am Sunday. Rolled into bed at 2:30am.

We put another layer of Gorilla Tape on the top of the windshield on the coach and that held all the way home. Had to adjust the air governor on the bus compressor, it was set to 70, causing to warning buzzer to go off all the time, adjusted it up to 110. It made it home okay as well.

So I'm back to highs of 107-108 this week.

The coach, are you talking about the support bus or Dougs Big Ol motor coach, either way why the tape. You can keep the high temps. That low air pressure alarm probably kept Troy awake. Good to hear you made it home safe.

John's Big brown Motor Coach. I guess I forgot to show you. The top of the windshield popped out of the gasket south of Wichita, the RV shop used Gorilla Tape horizontally, which just pulled apart, I redid it vertically which helped greatly.
