Here is a link to some potential places to meet up.

The Downtown Art Exhibit looks like a cool place to meet. There is also a Nature Center and an old historical Stagecoach Stop.

Maybe one of you local KS guys could open up your home/garage for some hanging out and maybe some helping fix/work on some cars. I know I could use some help replacing my shifter and bushings. Also need to do the Escort Dome light mod and install a new speedo gear.

Dislike this comment! I've seen a stock Festiva with MINIMAL upgrades if any, do VERY well in SCCA races. And I'll bet a nickel, after I get a few more laps under my belt, I'd make quick work with a heavy, not that fast Speed3... I can't imagine the $35 it costs your first time to race SCCA would not be worth the fun of racing the Festiva...

Very true...I guess the festy is pretty quick through like 3rd gear and you don't really need to go in 3rd probably for most of these courses. Like I said I've never done one. Guess it would be pretty neat.

Event two this year. My bro will be at the one you guys are talking about in his 03 Cobra. I did have a B8, but even in a stocker, nothing beats driving your car like you stole it.

Well we'll be meeting on Saturday the 6th and could do the event on the 7th if anyone was interested. Would be kind of cool to have some little Festivas at the event. We could even have the meet be at the event instead of the 6th. But then it would be in Independence which is a ways away from Olathe.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm trying to be the planner here, but I don't even live in the area!

Why Olathe ? I dont think its close to anyone who is expressing interest in attending. Olathe is a congested over populated parking lot. Meet in a state park or somewhere thats quiet and relaxing. Cant imagine cruising Olathe, we would all be sitting at different stop lights. Just my opinion, I try to avoid the city when I can.

There is a member from Olathe and there was a meet there last year. There is also another guy from Paola, KS in that same area. I'm fine with anywhere in the KC area as I'll be traveling over 200 miles just to get there. If you'd like to help organize this and have it somewhere less crazy then be all means. I think part of the fun of the meet is having all the Festivas out in the public for everyone to see!

Well, most successful meets I have seen always have a cut and paste list.
                      I will go first.

                      1. KingFish aka Reuben in for sure!!
                      2.
                      3.
                      4.
                      5.
                      6.
                      7.
                      8.
                      9.

This is about fifteen mins outside of Olathe, has Sat hours and plenty of cool cars! If we like the idea I will call to verify they will be open on the sixth.

Looking back at the thread where the pics were posted from one of the other Olathe meets here are some other members that we should try to get in touch with about the meet.

                            BigElCat Paola, KS
                            Skrapbob Wichita, KS
                            200KGPGTP St. Joseph, MO
                            sc72 Pelle, IA
                            drdan St. Louis
                            crusher773 Louisburg, KS
                            muddevil01 Paola, KS
robmac (No listed location, but mention he'd be down for a meet)
                            TominMO St. Louis
                            Festiva_Fred Macon, MO

And I think there are a couple more from the STL area that would maybe make the trip. We'll have to try and track everyone down and point them to this thread in the next week or so.
