hey kind of ran into a problem, this is why you don't mess with a motor if you'r wanting to go to a meet....

well, let me start off with sorry for the lack of picture's, really haven't had time to take them since us Fl crew are leaving Thursday for FM6. but, while i was putting on my new oil pump, one of the bolt's, seem's to have stripped the thread's on the block, was stripped.so im wondering, since i have the other 5 bolt's tightened to 19 ft-lbs and the bolt that was stripped is right by the bolt that the bottom alternator bolt goes through, would i be able to continue putting everything back together and leave that bolt out (until FM6 is over and i come home and fix?) kind of like a temporary fix?

That bolt goes thru the ac bracket. It's be fine without it.

In the oil pump there are 3 different length bolts. Try one thats just a little longer.

i did... swapped the longer bolt out and it started to get hard to turn and didn't want to ruin another bolt. i'll just slap everything together tomorrow and if it leak's, oh well . i really didn't want to do this to begin with.... but at least it's almost done.

Sorry to inform you all but I have to drop out of the convoy and miss FM6 this year due to family reasons and other stuff I cannot leave town for. I'm sure It will still be a great trip as it has been the last 3 times I've went , even without me. hate to do this 2 days before but it wasn't in my control some info i just received today and swayed my decision. Have a Blast take great pics and enjoy the weather forecast looks great!!
