  • VIVA LAS VEGAS! Southwest Festiva-Fest!

I am seriously bummed reading all these recent posts about Madness, and Ohiostiva. I know that there are a lot of people on the boards from So-Cal, Arizona, Utah, so I figured let's try for Vegas!

Saturday November 24th, 2012 in beautiful Las Vegas Nevada!

Los Angeles to Vegas = 280 miles
San Diego to Vegas = 340 miles
Salt Lake to Vegas = 424 miles
Phoenix to Vegas = 298 miles

I can't think of a better place that is Right in the middle for all of us! This is the Saturday of the long Thanksgiving weekend! Let's show some pride, and thankfulness for our awesome little cars!

I'll be glad to find a place to meet up, and get trophies made, etc. As we find out if there is interest in this event. Come on guys, it's time for the South West to represent!

New Mexico does have a Las Vegas, but it's kind of a $#!+ hole. No offense. Haha.

I love the idea, but I'll actually be in New Orleans that week . In fact, the whole month of November is booked for me. Maybe like Feb would be better, then it would attract some snow birds to come out of their winter caves and have some fun in the sun with us. It would really be sweet if we could plan it the same weekend as a track day or event at Las Vegas Motor speedway so there would be even more excitement aside from Gambling, drinking while walking down the street and over priced strippers (oh and blue man group of coarse).
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Las Vegas NM is the WORST! I had to repo a Tahoe there once! Terrible drive into the middle of nowhere!

I'm down for February... I'm just going to Vegas for Thanksgiving. Track day would be epic. I just think we need to get SOMETHING going. I'm sick of reading all these East Coast guys, and how excited they are, and US not having something to look forward to!

It's not worth the drive, even for you. Come to Phoenix instead, atleast you'll have fun. Las Vegas NM is basically just a Casino truck stop and some run down boarded up restaurants. I don't mean to offend anyone who calls that place home, I may have missed something, but probably not.

I totally agree, except I'll never tire of hearing about the east coasters getting down, cos I like to join in when I can. I still gotta get over to FL though, that crew is in a league of their own.
But anyway, lets start planning something on a weekend that works for the most people possible. I'd like the NorCal guys to be able to come too, since it's not a terrible drive from Sacramento. I bet a few guys from TX would come too, especially if there was road racing involved (those Texans love their road racing, let me tell you). I might be able to convince a pro FWD driver to come give us some tips (she has a festiva too, and I may need to lend a hand getting it going to motivate her, but it would be well worth the effort and she's not afraid of a drive, lol).
