  • Iowa meet

The wife and I have been to meets in Ohio, Minn, Mo and have decided we need to have a meet here in Iowa, the meet will be held at the shelter house at Lake Red Rock, if anything extra is needed Pella is only three miles away. You may have heard of some products made in Pella such as Vermeer Manufacturing, Rolscreen windows aka Pella windows and doors, Pella is the home of the largest working windmill in the US. Red Rock is the largest lake in Iowa, if you want to camp there are plenty of camp grounds to choose from, there are plenty of Hotels also.
This meet will be held rain or shine, we have reserved a very nice shelter that has a large deck, 14 picnic tables, many outside grills and if it does rain, there are two large grills built into the shelter. Oh and the bathroom facilities are less than 100 feet away.
The meet will start at 10am and grillage will begin at 12, also Red Rock is Iowa's largest Lake.
I cleaned out the Festiva shed last week and found some doubles of parts I have so there will be a give away.

The address for GPS is 1007 Highway T-15 Pella Ia 50219
Don't hesitate with any comments or concerns just ask.

Hello All, the Iowa Festiva meet will be held Sat, Sept 14 Rain or shine, so make your plans it's set in stone.

Not sure if I could make it, but if I can Sept 14th or 28th would be best for me.

Enjoy yourself, it's been a few moons since we have made the trek to Spearfish and Sturgis. Ride safe and that leaves September open, so come on down.

At the rate things are going, I stand a better chance of making it on one of the later September dates. The weather may be nicer then as well. I suppose I could arrange a "vendor visit" to PPI on Friday before. That way it become a business trip. I could get reimbursed for the hotel room, meals and get paid .55 per mile for using my own vehicle. Works for me!

Why does everything think Cayman Green is Blue?

My sister just came into town today and she saw my car and said I thought your car was Blue? Maybe it's something about taking pictures of it, but it's definitely more green than blue.

Well Buck I stand corrected, now that I spent more time looking at that pick of your car I do see the Green.
