  • Northwestiva '15?

Hey guys, I know we've got a long winter ahead of us, but I just bought my first Festiva in half a decade, and I can't sleep. I haven't been to a Festiva meet since I moved out west, and it looks like there aren't a lot of meets happening in our part of the country. I thought I'd start a thread to see how much interest there'd be in a Northwest meetup, maybe somewhere between Spokane, WA and Missoula, MT, or maybe somewhere in Oregon or Idaho in the spring. I know there's a greater concentration of Festivas (and people in general) back east, but I would be beyond pumped if we could get a meet with for or five cars together. What do you folks think?

Westiva is relatively close to you, at least compared to Madness. Next year's edition of Westiva will be on July 11th. Bolokid made the trip up this year from Pasco WA.

That being said I would love to come down to a meet anywhere in the area you suggested. All it takes is for someone to set a time and location. When I did the first Westiva back in 2008 there were four Festivas, two from Calgary (monkyracing and me) one from the Vancouver BC area (leapin) and another from Worland WY (gottafesty).

To paraphrase a famous movie line.... If you plan it, they will come

I didn't realize there was a plan for Westiva '15. It sounds like a good excuse for me to explore Western Canada. I haven't been west of Windsor, Ontario north of the border.

          Alex,

I think I would still have you beat as far as distance driven, LOL. My son and I are planning on making the trip to Westiva again in July, hopefully bringing the orange Festiva with us this year.

A meet as you suggested would certainly be a great time. I am sure there are many more but Old Yellow and his dad are in the Seattle area and Mark is in Portland. I'll provide the burgers/pop/chips for a BBQ.

          Think about it.

I'd love to go if only it was in Oregon, Nevada or Washington State... definitely don't feel like putting over 100 miles on the yellow base model festiva.... it has about 51000 and would like to keep it close to that, but my i'd drive the 40 over 1.3L GL but it's auto and I don't think my right foot would like the drive with so much pedal vibration, it almost makes my foot fall asleep when I drive to Granite Falls from my house in Kingston about once a month
