    FM9 Bad Luck Award

    Who is going to take it home this year?

    I am hearing about being hit by a deer, carb problems, wheel bearings, and other problems popping up. To win the award, you have to make it to Madness despite the problems. I would put my own name in because Lucky needs a timing belt and I just had it towed home, but since I already live here, I don't qualify!!! So when you get here, be prepared to tell us your story and maybe you will win the Bad Luck Award this year.

    I always hope everyone will get here safely without problems, but you never know. Please be careful and drive safe. Barb

      If I roll a festiva into the parking lot and wrap it around a tree, but technically "make it" to the meet, I might win! I've got a few rusty shells that would be worth the sacrifice!

          Oh well then, if that's how it is. I know I can wreck it on the way. Hammer down around a corner, roll her into a ditch, then roll it back over and off I'd go again. My first one had been rolled before I got it. They can stand it.

            There has got to be a set of tires around that you can use to get here!

              I thought I was going to make it here in a Festiva this year but bailed at the last minute after finding some rust and pinholes on top of my gas tank. My younger self would have still made the trip in it but I'm not that into excitement any more. No award for me! FM10 will be the one for sure. In Durham with friends and will be heading out in a few in my wife's -gulp - Focus once again.

                  Wheel bearing held but pretty sure unless I get struck by lightning or swept away like Dorothy from wizard of oz then bens got it ... I'm shocked he made it lol and impressed.
