Yeah Karl hasn't been on a lot recently. I think we need to at least set up the thread to vote on the date and location. Memorial day is May 30th this year so that means that June 4th, May 21st and 28th are options for dates. Also, need to decide if we want to go back to the park in Ohio again or if everyone wants to go to Moraine state park.

21st and 4th should work for me. Would it be against the rules to change location completely? Maybe more central location for the people coming from south of Ohio. I know some of our Canadian friends attend, how far is the average commute?

Karl always has to reserve the pavilion ($) at Moraine. Thats part of why we stayed in Ohio last time. This meet hasn't pulled a lot of people the past few years so theres no point in spending the money.

I drove about 4 hours last year. But, with where I'm coming from that wouldn't get any shorter by moving south. The main reason for where the meet has been in the past was so everyone could meet at summit. I didn't make it early enough to actually go to summit last year so I don't know how many people showed up for that.

I mean there are some people might be coming from nc, or even the IN KY people have a 6ish hour drive, was just throwing it out there. what if we did it at like buckeye lake or something. thoughts from people traveling from outside of ohio?

I'm (kinda) back, so keep the thoughts coming. We'll have the spring meet for sure. Although I'd prefer to stay where we went last year (same local place as the fall meet--Munroe Falls Park), other places can be considered as well, to be voted on.

Why don't we nail down the date first, and then decide where to have this year's Spring Fling?

All in favor, second, third, and fourth me!

Of put forth indestructible reasons as to why that's an asinine idea!

Is Willie still around? He is the one who did the polls. I'm no good at that modern internetz hacking stuff.

If Willie doesn't answer in a day or two, maybe someone else can put one up.

Our choices are three Sats in a row: May 21st, May 28th, or June 4th.

I'm kinda liking the 4th myself. More time to prepare!

Can some mod go ahead and get a vote up for those dates in May to end a month before the earliest date? Also no one interested in Ohiostiva coming from outside Ohio has input on its location?
