  • 6TH Annual NCStiva April 30 2016

Just what it says. Been a little buzz on Facebook about this years meet already.

Plans are for it to run the entire weekend. Show up Friday, Leave on Monday if you care to stay that long.

Official "MEET" is Saturday the 30th from 11AM until ?

Lots of room for camping, three fire pits, BBQ, Festivas, and friends! Two Koi ponds, no fishing please!

There are some tentative plans being made now for a possible body swap of one car to another, maybe someone arriving to tow a shell back, some fun roads nearby with some decent twists, and of course, it is Spring in NC and everyone has been dying to get their cars out with the windows down!

You can sign up on this thread, ask questions etc. Event will be at my home again, LOTS of room for parking and playing around. Wrenching is done outdoors mostly in the dirt though. PM for exact location. Chapel Hill NC

NCStiva is this weekend! Gonna have a few states showing up this year! I am gonna give an excerpt from an email I sent tonight to a guy coming form the NC Coast about what to expect at our place.

We have people coming in Friday evening, that is when the trans swap car will arrive. When we start/finish that is up in the air! Depends on when they get here, if it is early enough Friday and the people around are motivated, it might be done before Friday midnight. Wanna be sure to swap the trans? Show up Friday with a tent or a hotel reservation! LOL!

Officially. Meet begins at noon Saturday. Come earlier if you like. Stay as late as you like, we have fire pits, garden, lighting, room for tent camping etc.

Stragglers will be leaving Sunday....sometime? We are kind of allocating the entire weekend to be open for guests basically.

there will be a few VERY knowledgable people here, you can get some good info. Going to be small enough to easily pick brains There will definitely be a few engine swapped cars on hand.

Our home is open to everyone in the Festiva community this weekend. There are dogs and cats around, it is kind of a mess everywhere. We live in a rental that is about to get a new roof and soffit, and I have a yard full of cars and we work in the dirt for now. Shoot, our dining room is even part of my extended garage for the moment. I have for the moment a portable garage from Harbor freight set up and PLENTY of tools. You may want to bring some hand tools that you are comfortable with, sockets and wrenches basically. I am actually prepared to do anything except rebuild a transmission here, but it is caveman style for a little while longer. There is a small air compressor and welder on site, as well as anything a Festiva could ever need to be repaired. I work on cars out of my home, used to be a side job, lately it is my income. I do alright at it, working on some improvements to make it a better place to work, but not there yet. As it is, I have customers with BMWs, Escalades, VW's and anything else you can think of.

BYOB! The wife is serious about stocking up on food and sides, but I am more than certain she would entertain others bringing some. There will be food cooking/available practically 24/7. We are pudgy people, we say " Hey, I think your cool" by handing you a drumstick. I will have her contact you directly for more info. Expect Hot dogs, burgers, pork, and chicken breast to be on hand. Plus some sides.

So, welcome to come out and can't wait to see you!

            Paul.
