Woohoo!! Tim DeRonne just got in touch with me.. He said he will be there for that weekend, so now we have the VP/Racing Director of Waterfordhills Racepark in the mix. See ya there.. maybe a slight better chance of getting on the track, but it depends on what is planned for racing breaks..

I'm kinda considering this...
Are there any recommendaple (cheap) hotels nearby? or is everyone camping at the track? I've found a couple of places in flint, but heard this was a "bad" area
According to mapquest its a 10 h, 585 mile drive, far, long driveI will NOT drive a minivan

Camping may be a problem for me for two reasons:
Need to borrow equipment and even that is limited to tent and sleeping bag only...so I would need to rely on others for cooking utensils
It would be close to a full day Friday driving stint and risk arriving after dark...I will NOT drive a minivan

I'll be leaving for there early Saturday morning . I don't plan on bringing anything I need to cook, just snack type food and a small cooler. I'll eat on the road and I hope there is a restaurant nearby for dinner.
Borrow a tent and sleeping bag and come on down. You can cut down on some of the driving time by driving real fast .

fyi the campground is on-site within a 100 foot walking distance from where the meet will happen.
you can also come/go as you wish & go to mcdonalds or the 100000 other restaurants that are right outside of the track, so cooking isn't of a concern.
i personally wouldn't camp just b/c of the mosquitos and shit. I don't have a tent and last time I slept in my car which sucked.Wil
