  • Chasing potential new members

Hi all, I have a question to run by admin and anyone one else wishing to put in their 2c..

Would there be any reason I couldnt/shouldnt place a business card size note under the wiper of any festiva/121 etc I see as being a potential member?

The note would simply state the ff.com address, who we cater for and why.

I live in perth, the capital of western australia, home to some 2,ooo,ooo+ people, and it seems im the only member on here from perth and ive seen some great festies around that deserve to be show cased, plus the support and info one gets from ff.com

    Any objections?

    Cheers,
    Elliot.

Many members (Admin and Mods inclusive) have done this for years!
What we need is a good card setup.
      I've seen quit a few.
Some very nice some very plain.
Post up yours, maybe we can build set of templates for other members to reproduce and use.

I tried to upload the template for the madness cards with ff.com on it and couldn't get it to work... any suggestions? I'm sure it's user error.

I think Angela said it's not a good idea to chase people down if you aren't in a festiva / aspire. lol.

but certainly a great idea to spread the word

I had a nice chat with the owner of the first festiva I ever saw a month back. He was nice, and said he'd come here if he ever had a problem he couldn't handle. He had owned 2 and loves them.

I always keep a good pic of each of my Festivas and one of the fleet hotlinked on my phone so if I do chase someone down in one of my other rides (I've had a few over the years lol) I can quickly whip out my phone and show them that I'm an enthusiast. Would never do it after dark though, or chase someone to their house, but on the highway follow into a gas station or some other public place, why not
                      No festiva for me ATM...

On the way back from Madness I saw an Aspire in southern OH and left a card stuck in his/her driver's side window.

Bumper stickers would do a nice job...

I'd buy some... Do it in a way that you get members on the donation list. (Which I should be already. It needs an update.)

Just a thought. T-shirts would be nice as well.

Anything that gives the board exposure is good.

Here is a pic of the back of my business cards. The same type of thing could very easily be done for FF.com, or your Facebook page:

We also used to do small postcards, printed both sides, with pertinent info. These can be obtained pretty cheap (free!) through Vistaprint.com. One person can order them, and distribute 10-20 to whomever wants them....

                              Just a thought..
