  • Speaker repair?

Is there a way a minor tear in a paper speaker cone can be repaired effectively?

    Thanks

I have seen tissue paper with clear nail polish used a repair before. Don't know how long it would last though.

that kind of repair can't be used on the surround (outer most edge of speaker that flexes)

For the paper , I have always heard the nail polish trick works , just not sure how long, but never seen one fail after the repair .

you can get 'em at wal mart for like 7 bucks each. they're cheap, but they work. and they are better than the stock ones.

The ones I want to repair aren't the stock ones. They're some larger aftermarket 6x9's.

oh. that explains wanting to fix them. i guess the nail polish would be the best bet then.
