  • Radio install issues

I just got a 2 door 91 Festiva [66000 miles! $700] L model ,No radio, no Antenna, [Just a block off plate] Chruchfield says it's a URO-Din,E Mount [8 1/2 wide, 2"hi, and I think 4 or 6" deep. Two questions, What kind of radio do you guys like or recommend? And I can't seem to find a Antenna that will
work.[On the net] What will work and will stick in the stock mount hole? Or where can I find a stocker? Is there a crossover with a other model that will work? I live in Jonesboro Arkansas. Thanks, Mark Denny

Try placing a want add for an antenna in the FS section. I am sure someone can help you out. As for a radio you could do the same for a stock one or almost any aftermarket one should work. The car should be wired for the radio and speakers.

Go to circuit city and pick up a nice little 40$ cd player with fm/am. If you buy it at circuit city, they will install it for you and probably for free. They might even have basic antennas that they can install for you.

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

best buy i think will almost always do it for free if its one over 99$. only thing you pay for is the install kit.

I got a universal Toyoto A-post antenna to fit. Perfect! $18 Dollars at CarQuest. Thanks, David for the offer. But I got it fixed. Mark D

You can get everything you need really cheap at Pepboys: Radio-$50, wire kit-$15, universal dask kit-$15, and 4 speakers-$99.

Just remember your sound system will only sound as good as how much money you put in it.

One last thing, the wires are already there, just need to plug everything in. and the radio wiring takes about 10 mins and 10-12 but connectors, follow the wirnig diagram in the radios manual.

                Keep us posted

as far as the antenna u can most likely find one at a salvage yard for a few bucks. for radios the other guys are right pretty muach anything with work as long as you have the correct dash kit and wiring adapter
it may not be fast but ill pass u when u run out of gas
