  • High Definition(HD) Radio

Recently my wife bought a nice, but bare bones 2008 Hyundai Accent which didn't even have a radio. While researching after market radios, I discovered High Definition radio.
After being around for a while, HD radio may be making its move. Most often available in HD tuners only, HD radio has been expensive, putting a real crimp in its expansion.
But I found a Dual car head unit w/integrated HD radio for $100 for her car. HD radio is spectacularly clear, even in fringe areas like ours. Radio frequency range is extended...big time. Even with stock speakers, bass becomes solidly placed & textured, while violin high trebles are creamily sensual & not irritatingly scratchy.
If you're in the market for radio, get HD radio, no if's, &'s or but's...or you will be the butt & will butt your head for not getting HD radio.
Plenty of HD radio is in my Puget Sound neck of the woods. Hope lots of HD radio stations are popping up in your area of the woods. With HD 2 & HD 3 underneath HD1, lots more choices will pop up for your pleasure. Already, my wife is finding her cranky blues in greater quantity than before HD radio. Maybe I will find an occasional native amercan flute song or avante guarde music on HD radio.
My wife has HD radio in her Accent. I will have it soon in my 88 Ford Festiva, if you can steer me to good speakers. & I'll get HD radio for my Dodge Caliber too.

Try to get an Alpine HD head unit for your Festiva. Then you'll really see (actually hear) the difference.
