HVAC bezel fitment

Hey guys, I just installed a new Sony headunit and it works great, but my HVAC bezel wont fit in at the top. I think the unit is hitting a metal bracket in the back of the dash. Has anyone else had any luck fixing this?

I have had no trouble fiiting it over aftermarket radios.
