  • ??? on Radio Installation/wiring

I just bought a cheap little tape deck to put in my 91L...it has a ground, power (run/ACC), two speaker wires, and a one that is for a power antenna/amplifier. I know to put the power on the hot in ACC/run (BLU/YEL), and I know how to do the speakers, I dont have an all black wire for the ground. Last night I tried hooking up the grounds to what I now know is the interior lights (BLK/RED stripe) and it worked until I turned on the head lights and it blew a fuse. :? Where is the correct wire for the grounds coming out of the radio? Do I need to ground it mannually by attaching the wires to the metal? Also is there a way to hook up the interior lights lead into the radio so it will dim with the dimmer switch?

This is what I got off of easy board...

Hot at all times - WHT/RED
Hot in run or ACC - BLU/YEL
    Interior lights - BLU/WHT & RED/BLK
    Left rear speaker - GRN/RED & GRN/WHT
    Left front speaker - BLU/ORG & BLU/RED
    Right rear speaker - GRN/YEL & GRN/RED
    Right front speaker - BLU/BLK & BLU/WHT
    Ground - BLK

Never mind!!! I went out and made my own ground by hooking it to the metal behind the console and it worked!
