According to my brother who does custom stereo installs. You can put 5.25s in front and rear. But only 2 screws will hold them in place. He said the way Festivas are laid out in the dash is very similar to some Toyotas hes worked on and it sounded a LOT better with the 5.25s. In fact so much better he said dont waste your time with the 4" speakers.

I put 5 1/4's in mine. It took very little modification. On the rear hatch portion you'll have to use long screws with springs, use the screw holes closest to the sides and the screw hole for the luggage cover clamps. Works well with no vibration.

You can put 5.25 or 6.5's in the doors. I have 6.5 Kickers in mine.

don't forget 6.5 in the doors will require spacers so the window will clear them.

Mine fit without spacers. No issues with window operation.

if you get a spreaker with a big magnet on the back of it, it will hit the glass... the ones i wanted to put in had a huge magnet in them and would hit even with a 3/4 inch spacer... i had to stick a 1/4 inch spacer on the ones i have now... but if you get a "thin" speaker it will fit just fine...

you can fit 6.5 inch in the back and 4 inch in the front (without cutting up the dash...) you CAN fit 5.25 in the dash but you have to cut the dash up... and you can fit 6.5 inch in the doors.
