are you running all that on the stock alternator

yes, you need a bigger alternator not a bigger battery. Your sound system runs off the alternator until it can't supply enough power then it runs off the battery. The big problem with that is the battery is only 12 volts and your alternator is 14 +/-

Get a better altenrnator first and buy a good battery.

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I had an 84' Cadillac with 8 10"s in the trunk with 3 amps running about 2350w. I kept killing the car every time it would hit too hard (and popping the trunk on accident with the speakers!) Finally I installed an alternator off a dump truck and never had a problem again. Sound got crisper when I added a Yellow-Top dry cell battery too.

ive got a sound system in mine as well and it does pretty good for having done all the building and installation myself. i have a pioneer deck, 1 12" quantum DVC sub, 1 400watt amp and a 2000watt boss capacitor. since i have never been able to afford to have boxes built for me i made my own to fit in my car. i put it in a sound competion a couple months ago and it hit just over 133db.
i even added some LEDs above the box
