  • Alternator issues with Amp

Hey guys, my lights dim when i have bassy songs on and it slowly drains my battery. I got a 121 carby. Is there any other alternators that just bolt straight in? Im in australia. Also how many amps is the stock alternator? any one know?

    any help appreciated

So im guessing thats a mazda 626. What year is that from? and by pulley change you mean me taking my pulley from the stock one on the festiva and putting it on the 626 one? Is that a hard job?

just go to a local stereo shop and get yourself a nice 25farat power capacitor and you will be good for a while as well till you can find your alt

A 25 farad capacitor is beyond over kill, a general rule of thumb is 1 farad for every 1000 watts

Yes a capacitor will help with the lights dimming, i have a 1 farad capacitor with my stereo set-up and it's the stock alternator, with the capacitor the lights don't dim anywhere near as much, here's a pic of my stereo
