New CD Player & Speakers!

Hey Spiko,

I am thinking about getting this same cd player head unit. You have had it for a few months. What's your review after using it for a while? Pros? Cons?

I think you would be better off getting a better used head unit from CL (Pioneer, Eclipse, Alpine, Nakamichi, Kenwood, etc). You can probably get an really good used one for under $100.

Perhaps...my issue is I definitely want bluetooth/handsfree talking capability. Most of the head units I have seen on craigslist that actually have that go for twice that amount.

For the price, you can't go wrong. It has what you need. I bought a cheap $80.00 model at Walmart that has an SD card slot and also a USB port. It's nice that I can play downloaded music through my RAZR phone. The sound isn't as good as a high end model but the convenience is nice.

Just make sure the bluetooth works well. I would be worried that the built-in microphone is so far away that it may not work as you would hope.
The other thing is that sound quality is important! That's why you are replacing the stereo in the first place. I would try to get the best unit you can get that fits your budget.
