wire harness socket problem

I let my brother borrow my CD player while i didn't have a car ... well i got it back yesterday and he said he "lost" the wire harness some how ... so i was wondering if maybe someone could help me out with soldering wires to the socket in the back of my CD player ... the model is VRCD400-USB it is a VR3 brand CD player if anyone has them maybe you can help me out with telling me what color wires are where ... there is a diagram HERE on page 17 if anyone can help me that would be great ... i mainly need to know where the red, yellow, and black wires need to be soldered on so i can have it powered on ... i can figure out the rest ... mostly cuz i will have my amp hooked up and can hook it up that way if need be

i take it noone has that CD player or has a way of getting their hands on the wire harness to at least tell me what order the wires go in ... thx anyways ... i guess you can close this thread ... if anyone gets the info in the near or distant future please PM me with the info thx

well for starters i am flat broke lol i can't even replace my CV joints until 2 paychecks which will be 3 weeks from today which if i spend any money it will be to fix that first lol ... second ... i am not sure they even sell that CD player anymore i looked on the site and it doesn't even show the product anywhere on the site anymore so i will either get it working or find another one to replace it or if i end up finding a new harness somewhere i will end up doing that

Red wire=hot all the time
Yellow=switched power, only hot when the ignition is on
Black=ground

Don't alot of the connectors in the back of cd players interchange? I had a Audiovox radio in my car before I bought a JVC cd player and just used the plug from the radio.

It's never a good idea to solder the wires to the back of the stereo. The biggest reason is because if two of the connections accidentally become soldered together, you can go as far as to lose the radio when it's finally turned on. The second of course being once you solder the wires it's just a frustrating removal job. A less expensive alternative is to go to your local electrical store with the radio and search for some smaller sleeve connectors that would fit the pins (or vice versa if your radio is as such) but when you do find the right connectors, do your best to insullate them with shrink tubing to keep them from touching. This solution is a time consuming process and should probably only be used when you can't source another harness. Depending on the age of the radio, you may be able to ebay another radio and then have a complete unit to source from whenever something on yours goes out.
