Ok, I'm getting mixed information on this. The speaker wiring I have does not match my Haynes manual or the online sources I have found. I took a multimeter and hooked up the red lead to the spade that forms the top of the T shaped connector and put the black lead from the MM on the spade that forms the vertical part of the T shaped connector. With the radio on, I get a small positive voltage. If I reverse this setup (black lead on top of T, red lead on veritcal part of T), I get a negative voltage. Does this mean, the spade that forms the top of the T is positive? Want to make sure before I solder the new speakers in. Thanks.

Yes. The speaker will work either way, but you will get a much better sound if the polarity is correct and since speakers are positive polarity (as is most everything), you have deduced correctly.-Caleb
