amp question

I have an OLD kraco 140 watt 2 channel car stereo amp.
Question...
If each channel is 70 watts. How can I wire it to push 140 to one speaker? Is it
A. Run the positive from one channel and the negative from the other channel.
B. Run positive and negative from both channels to the one speaker.
C. Something other way I don't know about.

I have been using this in a guitar amplifier application and want to get the most volume I can. I gigged it for several years and just recently reassembled it. Pics soon.

to bridge two cahnels to one take one pos and one neg off each channel... thats what MOST amps need to run one speaker... but i would first check to see if that amp will work if you do this...

typicaly, it's a pos and neg from each channel, but i've seen both positives used for bridging as well.

the only thing i'll say about what you WANT to do is get a better amp, doubling the output will only net 3dB more than what you have now. if you want a real volume increase, you'll need to multiply the output by ~10 (at least 650w) that will gain you near 10dB more than what you have now.

That's the info I was looking for. I know this may be a shocker but this amp will rock your face off your skull. People are in awe of it's volume, tone, AND how quiet it is when muting the strings. And it has never glitched or broken down! I gigged it for years with a full band with drums and p.a. at shows. It's beast. I just wanted to make sure I was getting all of it's potential out.
