I've just been given a Pioneer TS-WX50 "spare tire" subwoofer. Does anyone have an owner's manual for this or know where I can get one?
Thanks

Just need to know the proper hook ups. It appears that all I have to do with it is hook it up to the subwoofer outlet on my Pioneer DEH-P4000UB head unit.

no.
it is "possible" but don't. get a decent 2 channel amp and bridge the connection to the sub.
those subs are wired in an 8 ohm configuration (odd) and to get the most sound out, you'll want to bridge it on a non-sub amp (ie. 2 channel) so that it drops to 4 ohm.

Is it self amplified? Otherwise you will need to use a power amplifier.
No, I meant if the sub is self amplified. A head unit can't power a sub (even if they claim they can) so if the sub doesn't have a built-in amp, he will need to get one.

and i said it wasn't self-amp'd
and you actually can with the pioneers. but i would never recommend it.
