Car Audio Setup

Before I go and spend all my money, will you guys please inform me whether this will work or not? This is my first try at installing a completely new system. I just found out what crossovers were about a week and ahalf ago when I chose to try this. So I am going to buy a pretty shit reg cd player. which will power two 4" in the front. I will have the rear right wires attached to a 3 way crossover in the back. I will have two of them go to a two channel amp, then will power two 6x9's in a box i have yet to make. after I get some more money, I will then go ahead and run the last channel of the crossover into a single channel amp, then to a subwoofer. Now tell me someone, will this work, or have I got it all wrong?


Edit~~ I should probably tell you guys what I am planning on putting in eh? Well, I am sort of afraid to tell, looking though some of the posts. I have a budget, a very very short budget. I'm with about 200 canadian. and I have been restricted almost entirely to london drugs! so heres the links to what i think i will put in.

well, I finished, I changed to a 300 watt amp, and 400 watt 6x9's. nothing special but I still love it. ---> me and two of my buddies built a slick hidden box in the back so it looks as though the speakers are coming out of the floor. We removed the carpet, and stapled it on topof the box, cutting out the holes for the speakers. I may get around to posting some pictures. took us about 13 hours with a bit of slacking. first change to the car since I bought it. next i want to add a tachometer ofr my 5spd.
