  • Sound deadening by ft^2

I am buying some sound deadening for my Dads 91 Festiva and I was wondering how many sq. ft I would need to cover the most of the inside of the car except for the roof and the floor because he dose not really want to have to remove the front seats and headliner. If some one could give me some estimates that would be wonderful.

Also do the door clips break off on this car when removed? The brand that I will be getting is Edead Se2 http://www.edesignaudio.com/category.php?type=damp If you have any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

I just finished lining mine with MFM Window Wrap. I used about a roll and half of 100' x 6" and that covered the entire floor and the inside of the back quarter panels (over the strut towers, etc).

I'm not sure what help that will be, but there it is.

As for your post, I'm a bit confused...

If you're not doing the floor or roof, how are you lining "most of the inside of the car" ?? :?

    Good luck.

I will cover the door panels hatch the floor of the hatch and the sides of the hatch along with the inside of the dash/firewall.

The car is driven every day and for the most part he would not like to drive around with it apart he dose not have a system by any means just some decent 4" in the front and component type shelf speakers in the back. The main idea is to eliminate the loud spots of road noise with out stripping the car out.

If you took one day on the weekend, you could probably strip out the car, and install the material on the floor as well. It is really easy to do, and doesn't take that much time. You would definitely notice the most improvement by doing the floor pan. Just a thought. Good luck:-)
