Stock AM/FM ?s

Whats up boys, some one wanted my Jensen Cd Player more than i did, so now im stuck with a big empty hole in my console. What im thinkin is gettin the stock Festy AM/FM radio and just usin an iPod with FM transmitter. Is the wiring for the AM/FM the same as it would be for a new CD player. or is it a little less involved. Thanks

I'm guessing from this post then that the original wiring harness was cut off when the Jensen was installed? if so, then whatever stereo you get, you will have to wire the power wires and speaker wires, even for the stock AM/FM. I found the stock radio I have, it was working when I pulled it to put in my CD player. IIRC the wiring harness is still in the car cause I didn't really hardwire the new harness when I installed the new stereo, but if you want the stereo that'll give me a good reason to pull out mine and do a proper install job. Then you can just match colors to install the stock harness and save yourself a little hassle if want.
