What ac converter should I buy to plug my labtop into for my wardrive setup?

I probably am going to just reformat my labtop and take stupid XP off from it, and put 2000 on, but for some reason my internet connections dont work. Both the hardline and the wireless recognize the connection and show that im connected, but neither firefox or IE will bring up webpages. Any ideas?

Just a few things.. oh, and 2000 has it's issues as well..

but it sounds like either a invalid ip or a firewall issue.. turn off all firewalls try again..

Make sure your tcpip settings are set to "obtain ip address automatically"

Check to make sure you have a valid ip as well.

start/run cmd

ipconfig to see the status

(eg. a legit ip behind a router with dhcp turned on would be 192.168.x.x)

ipconfig /release should make the adapter clear to 0.0.0.0

ipconfig /renew will try to get a new ip from the dhcp server inside the router.

laptop shouldn't need an inverter.. most likely you can get a lighter adapter.

I want the inverter so I can use more than my labtop, eventually im putting a full tower in and I would like it for that too. Also a labtop lighter adapter for my computer is around 150 bucks, where I can get an inverter for 60.

for the full tower I would use a dc to dc power supply.. much better than an inverter as it's like a ups in that when your battery starts getting low it will shut down nicely, not just dump like an inverter will do. as far as an inverter goes I went through a few of those 60$$ inverters.. none would run much maybe enough for the laptop, but that's pretty much it..

My 1500 watt inverter will run a ps2 and a 15" lcd monitor without fail, but it depends on the PC's power supply you add. My home PC has a 600 watt ps and it wouldn't run that for very long before it dumps out.

2 of the ones I had before had high watt breakers, which can be frustrating.

Look at rms wattage. They all boast peak wattage.. so a 300watt peak will only do it for a millisecond before it squeals and dumps.

My 1500 watt ran over 250.00 but it has a 3k watt peak and 1500w rms..
