i just replaced both front speakers and the head unit in my car because the radio only sometimes worked, and when it did it was very staticy. now i just replaced these with new but cheap ebay replacements, i dont listen to loud music, i just wanna listen to conserveative talk radio on the way to and from work. okay that being said install went fine turned it on and sounded great. next day on my way to work my local station was very static, in fact every station was. it later seemed to fix itself and was clear again. same thing next time i got in my car clear then staticy then very quiet like i turned down the volume then clear. in no paticular order. and this is very much why i replace the unit that was already in my car. so my question is this what would cause this bad ground maybee? it seems good. any ideas

I would look at the ground connections at the radio first. To be safe run one yourself and make sure it is clean (bare metal) and tight. Double check all connections as well. I always use solder to eliminate any future problems but a solid connection is a solid connection however you do it. lol You should also check the end of the antenna plug where it attaches to the radio. Maybe needin' replacin'. Start there and let us know.-Bryant
