  • Custom Low Key "System"

Had a thought. Nowadays smartphones are the norm, and bluetooth speakers are cheap. One could totally delete the head unit, install some speakers in the stock locations so nobody knows jack, and then you'd have your selection of music with nothing showing you have anything. I imagine the quality for those who care a lot about that would be sub-par, but I'd say a lot of us aren't that deep into it.

I bet it would be great. Seriously considering doing this.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

What are you thinking, a small bluetooth receiver wired to an amp hidden under the dash?

Fecomatter has an amp with speakers that he plugs his phone up to. HIde an amp under the dash as Brad said, and you don't have to drain the car battery and lose sound quality to BT.

Honestly you would waste money on those bt speakers. Only reason I don't have a head unit is because my Extra one just didn't work in the Festiva. Idk why. If you cheap out on crap bt speakers, I'm guessing the sound quality will be in bearably poor. If you still don't care, I'd bet you will not be able to get them loud enough for cruising. Just hide an amp, Wire that you your stick speakers, the buy s bt reciever to wire into your car switched power.

Replaced all my speakers with fosgate 4”. Paired with a $55 pioneer head unit all for under $100 on Amazon. I use all of the factory wiring that was already in the car and a $7 ford wiring harness. Only have to re-pin 2 wires. Sounds really good. Might get a $100 sub set up on amazon soon. Awesome sound system for under $200.
