Mine was the same way, I cut all the crap they had, pulled the cluster and pulled the harness to where the cluster was. There is a power for the radio(switched) blue/yellow wire, there is a memory wire (white/red), there is a dimmer wire, and 8 wires for the speakers, front are blue and rear are green. Get some longer wires to add to the harness.
once you have the wires lengthed, taped and fished back to where the radio compartment is, you can connect the power to your radio. The ground wire is a black wire in the radio area, if missing just make a new ground wire. Turn on the radio and make sure it powers up with the key on, and off when the key is off. Take an AA battery and use it on the speaker wires to find which set is which, and connect to the correct wires on the radio. Make sure the fuse is not fried in the cigar location.

Yeah we did all that but we never cut the wires back to the cluster we just by passed with the fuse box for a constant power source and a source where we had it only working with the key switched to the on position so no acc posistion if you know what part of the fuse box would have that that would be great

you could run the wire to the cigarette lighter power wire, it is only on when in acc and run.

ya i could find a wire that would turn on in the acc. position, only "on" even tried the cigarette lighter and it only came on in the on position, it seemed to me that the guy who owned it before him made a mess of the wiring in there
