I have a 91 L. right now it has an aftermarket Jensen with a tape player that is just plugged right in to the factory harness. i just bought a deck with a cd player. it is a JVC model KD-S680. i went to Best Buy and bought an adapter that "plugs into original equipment radio" on any "Ford/Lincoln/Mercury - 1986-2004". the adapter does not plug into the festiva wiring harness. i know the festiva was built by Kia, so should i buy an adapter for a Kia? I really don't want to cut the factory harness. is there another way? any help would be great.

You need a mazda adapter. There is a mounting kit as well get that too.
