You can put and universal keyless entry kit and an alarm system my buddy did it and I think Simon did it too.
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

It can be done. All you have to do is get an alarm or a keyless entry module, but the actuators, and install. If you have no idea what you are doing, see someone who can do the job for you.

so when you shave the outside handles, how do the "glass saver" (non electric) emergency door latch switches work? i have seen them from places like autoloc but was wondering if anyone knew how exactly they work.

It can be either an electric one, where the push button will activate the solenoid, making the door pop open or it will be a wire (much like the hvac control sliders or changing gears on a bike) which will cause the latch to pull and open as well (most of the times, I've seen these have a lock and special key with them)

Shaved doors are pretty nice, but it's a pain when they don't work (If you park on a weird angle or anything where the car flexes, it may cause the doors not to pop correctly and stuff.
