Just wanted to post up my new headunit that'll be going on the car... It's a JVC KD-DV6200... Regular CD player, also plays MP3 and WMA too. But I think the coolest feature is the ability to play DVDs. My brother picked up a unit a few months ago and put it in his 350Z. He loved it! I got a unit similar to this (without the DVD playback) for my Jeep and it's a really good unit.

So I found one off EBay new and grabbed it. I'm going to mate it with a 7" screen that I've had for about 3 years now (sitting and collecting dust, it was meant for the last Pimptiva)... I'm going to mount the screen flush in where the HVAC controls and vents were and connect it to this unit.

Trying to find a shot of Steve's Z with the unit installed and I'm coming up short. I'll keep looking and get it up if I find one.

If nothing else, you'll see it installed in the Pimptiva in a few days. With this and my new Grant wheel that should be here next week, it'll be just like the old Pimptiva! Well, except a lot faster and with a bunch of extra dents...

From what I know, there's a GPS Navigation screen that can be upgraded in some of the extra model Z's... He found a screen that fit pretty much perfectly in there. Had to drill 1 tiny hole for the IR remote to work correctly. He likes it, and it's got nice coverage for when he's parked downtown where he works.

Hope my install will look just as sweet.

Got the CD player in last week... It's pretty nice, but I need rear speakers to make it sound good...

Started on the monitor today. Took apart a bit of the surround and I'm hoping that I can make it work. I hooked the monitor up and it works pretty well. It's not quite as clear as I'd hoped it would be... but for $100 I guess that's what I get. - If I nee to upgrade sometime, I'll go for it. We'll see how it goes for now.
