Alternators

What are people doing for alternators? I had a system with 1200 W RMS with a cap and I had 2 alternators fail and my battery died often...

i have 2 - 15"solo barics (750 W RMS each), with a 1000 watt Memphis amp and a 1 farad cap, i have the stock alternater and a normal battery, i haven't had a problem with the alternater, yes the lights DO dim quite a bit, but the car always starts

well me and a buddy put a chevy alternater on it after we made the custom bracket and he added another battery we also put door pops in his festiva the only door left is the hatch

I used a alt off of a 67 Olds on my Datsun 210 , when they wanted like $300.00 .

It bolted right up , just had to splice the plug onto the harness .

man how i wish i had 2 solo barics...
i got 1 10" bazooka in a sealed box and it sounds so perfect, theres no rattle or anything just good clean bass.

i upped my stock alternator to 90 amps, and i'm running like 1000 watt system....i wired my system directly to the alternatos cuz the wiring in the festy looks so thin, but now my lights dim a little when I take my foot off the accelerator...

Well you could buy an OHIO Generator alternator they make all kinds of cutsom apps.

damkid how many dbs u hitting??

so far 143db i'm pretty sure though with an amp that'll power them properly and a better alternater might be around 147db - 150db thats just my guess though
