  • CV axle questions

Well I finally got some time to work on pulling the capri's motor and tranny and I was wondering if anyone else had problems in getting the drivers side CV axle out of the tranny? I finally had to take the battery tray off to get to the tranny side of the axle and pried it loose with a big tuning fork thingie. Did anyone else have to do this?

I hope the passenger side isn't as hard because I'm getting tired of crawling up under the car because we have fire ants around our house and I know the odds are I'll get bit.

By the way does anyone know of a good way to get rid of them?

I have heard of several here that had to use a pry bar and or a fork to pop them out if they are really stubborn .

You need to find someone in your area that sells Tempo SC Ultra .

It is a pesticide and it works wonders , ants of all kinds , termites , spiders , virtually anything that crawls of flies , even scorpions

It is safe for in house use and outside , just read the directions .

This stuff will beat anything that you can buy in a store .. hands down .

You biggest problem will, be finding someone that carries it . check with a FS dealer if you have one of those , or any Farm type service facility .

I'm kinda afraid of using pestacides because we live less than 50 feet from a lake. Oh well maybe some of that tranny lube I spilt will keep them away.
