  • Measurement Request!!

Ok first off i apologize for triple posting it but i figured if i just left it in the N/A forum it might take a while to get attention. So anyway...

Alright, calling all BP swappers. If anyone has a minute or two, could you please measure the distance from the intake side of the head to the firewall? I'm interested in as many different setups as possible, ie; Matt's GTR w/ g25mr, DJ's Zippy with the spacer block, Mattswab with BP and stock trans. Please only measurements to the firewall itself, from the face of the head that the intake mani bolts to. I don't have mine fabbed up in there yet and could use a little help if someone remembers next time they're elbow deep in their engine bay. Hopefully this will help give us all an idea how much clearance each setup has so that we may compensate accordingly or see which setups leave the most room.

ok.. I have like 9.5" from the outter most part of the firewall to the inside of the intake flange..

Edit: I just measured the intake from my other BP and it's 9.75" from the inside of the flange to the outside of the runners..

alright thanks guys... i'm trying to get a good idea of how much room i have for a set of 40-45mm weber sidedrafts. If I have to cut and box the firewall to give another inch or so thats not a big deal but I'm waiting on some weber measurements as well to see what the max. length of the custom manifold for them is going to be. My uncle has been working with a local race fabrication shop and has told me that he can hook me up with the custom job for real cheap i just have to get the right measurements and make up a basic design. Obviously this is all quite a way's off in time, but i wanted to get a rough idea of measurements just to make sure its actually remotely possible to fit them before i go and get my hopes up for nothing. So thanks to everyone for their help, hopefully i'll get the other set of measurements i need soon.
