So I found the stock one, cut in between the pivot ball and piece that bolts on the shifter shaft. Then I added a 3/4 nut inbetween there. but me being a dummy didnt measure the aluminum one to get the same nice throw. Im gonna find another stocker and put a deeper nut in there.
I had a crummy aluminum one and Was power shifting and the d@mn thing snaped off in my hand, had to drive the rest of the way back to the house with a little stub, Went back to the stock and stayed there.

A buddy of mine just hacked his off rethreaded it and then stuck and after market ball on there.

I have one but haven't had time to install it. It's Pacesetter model #01-0620 originally intended for 89-92 Ford Probe, Mazda 323, 626 or MX-6GT

While we're on the topic... for those with Pacesetters... where did you install the pivot ball? The instructions recommend the middle but if someone has any other suggestions I'd like to hear them.

So what should I do with this thing? Its gotten REALLY sloppy. I have about 8 inches of side-to-side play....I searched for the bushings at the parts store on here......maybe it will make more sense if I actually go and look?

Oh, and any of the $4 short shifters for a 99 integra work? Direct fit or have to modify?

i wasted my money on a short shifter for my honda, 5 dollars on ebay. after it broke on the interstate i did some research on these and i think i found an article on a honda board about how the cheap ones arent really short shifters, they did a side by side comparison and the cheapone was shorter in physical size, but when they did a throw comparison they found that stock was shorter throw than the "short shift". i think if anyone here has one that they are going to put on they should measure the throw of the shifter stock and then after the swap. maybe from dash to second gear. just my thoughts before i would waste my money again
