ok i am wanting to do a tranny swap and i was wonderin if the 323 tranny or the capri tranny bolt to the same mounts and do u use the CV axles from the 323 or the capri if u do

Fred used the 323 gt tranny and axles, I used the capri tranny and capri axles. I've never had the two side by side, But the pics I've seen of the 323gt tranny look excactly like mine? -

yes. My tranny is in stock location. 1.6, 1.8, chevy 350, whatever. That's where the transaxle sits.Comment

Good question. That is something I didn't address in my pics, but there is interference with the front bolt. It has to be trimmed a bit, but just down to the bolt itself. All the threads catch. Not really a big deal.Comment

I pulled the festy trans today and put the GT trans up in the hole. I still need to address the frame rail, but I was hitting the steering rack and the trans was not all the way on. I am using one of the CWS right side brackets, but I think I'll have to make a new one and move the engine foward alittle. As for the sway bar I am using a aspire and my mount rubs on the bar already!Comment

I didn't know it but there are two different swaybars one that goes under the trans support and one that goes over. I have the one that goes over the support. I have a capri mount on the front and festy on the rightside with the CWS adapter. I am looking to get a EGT mount for the back and mod it.Comment
