  • Help me Identify this trans.........

I was snooping around auto shop at school and found a tiny ford trans(brand new). The teacher says I can get it from him for real cheap, but I am not sure what it is. Here is a part number: F23R EA

No one? Is it the "F" trans some people talk about with bp swaps and stuff like that?

the "F" series trans is what came in our cars, & non-turbo 323, tracer, & maybe capri.

The "G" series is the upgrade for out trans that we hookup with the BP or B6T motors to make them not puke their guts out with hard driving.

Strange, I seemed way too small to be anything other than a four cylinder trans.

I will take pics 2morrow so you guys can see it. I am really hopping it is an Aspire trans because I am tired of my uninspired 4 spd carbed. If it is an aspire trans, it will be going in my tiva along with a rebuild Miata 1.6l engine

The festiva does not have a F series transmission. It is an E series, which is alot weaker and smaller than the F series transmission. The F series is the same size as the G, but not as strong.
