Fitting a 2.25" on a 2"

So that 89 parts Festiva that I got had an almost brand new exhaust on it with a 2" pipe all the way, with the muffler having a 2" inlet and what appears to be a 1.75" out.

Thing is, I want to get a magnaflow, but I was wondering if there's any way of making the 2.25" muffler fit onto the 2" pipe. If not then I could use the muffler that I took off as a template for a new 2 1/4" pipe

i think autozone or other parts place like that might have adapters.

It's funny, but I don't get it

Yup, adapters are the thing. I've got a Magnaflow 2.25" on the back end of my stock exhaust, and all I did was buy the appropriate adapter, and clamp it on.

Awesome. I've got a friend that works at a Lordco that is going to give me a discount on a Magnaflow. Can't wait to hear it.

Update: Picked up the adapter today and some muffler sealant stuff. Just have to wait for the magnaflow to come in now. So excited!
