seriously man there is b3 performance thread 2 links down....open your eyes. i usually don't jump on newbies for that but that has to be the dumbest question i have seen asked on here. pretty much the entire forum is dedicated to making these cars faster, and i'm getting sick of people getting an account and asking a dumb question without looking at the site. k i got that out of my system.Jesus is on my dashboard, But the Devil is under my hood

I bought one of those window paint markers...
I wrote on the back window in large letters;
"No, it doesnt go any faster."
now instead of people being annyed and riding my ass, they calmly zip around me as i putter uphill at 40 mph.
my next aspire will be a stick shift. if this one ever wears out.

Search and Read. Once you have done that, do it again. Then once again rethink posting and repeat. Once you have done that, maybe then you should post  -KyleCosmic Blue 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 - Mostly Stock...

Shreek'n, relax, read and enjoy for awhile. Nothing happens in a day.
Your '95 Aspire should be a good platform for an engine swap because it is not likely OBD II equipped.
The usual Stage One mods to a B3 probably won't get you much farther than 70 hp.
Keep reading and use your imagination.

ok thats another pet peave of mine...did i miss the memo on the "stages" of car modification? when did gran tourismo become fact? i hear alot of people talking about a stage one turbo kit or i have a stage 3 turbo upgrade on my neon....as if all turbo kits or just car modifification in general is standardized... i will say that that gripe doesn't usually apply to this forum, that may be the first time that i have heard of mods refered to in stages here, but it seems to be pretty common now days elsewhere...am i just missing something?Jesus is on my dashboard, But the Devil is under my hood

I always figured the stages were the level of customization done. Stage 1 would be something that simply bolts on, stage 2 is the same but with some minor tweaking required, 3 would be some custom fabrication required, 4 would be heavy modification.
so for a festy power you could say
stage 1: header, exhaust, ect
stage 2: B6
stage 3: b6t with festy tranny
stage 4: b6t with gm25r or BP
stage 5: 3-rotor in the back, SHOgun, ect
Thats just how I've always looked at it.OX SMASH!!

well i mean i think that dodge hit a homerun with the srt-4, it's really fast, cheap to make faster and dirt cheap (theyu also replaced those crappy stock base model seats with some pretty comfy buckets). but the erector set style upgrades are a bit childish don't you think? just shows who the core buyer for the srt-4 is, kids that know nuthing about cars. they don't know what a blow off valve is, so dodge makes it easy for them in their ignorance...instead of having to learn about their cars (and perhaps learn how to drive them properly in the process), they can go to the local dodge dealer , plop $1,500 of their parents hard earned money and say give me a stage 1 upgrade, just like on my gran turismo 2 game!Jesus is on my dashboard, But the Devil is under my hood

The term "Stage 1" etc. is pretty "old," if you will.
I recall some aftermarket car manuals (for ex. for the Fiesta) with a final section on power upgrades which used this terminology.
Oxbrain described it as I remember it.
"Stage One" is simple bolt on stuff to improve "breathing."
Also, Buick had this terminology on some of its cars during the early seventies. I had a friend who had a "Stage One" Skylark with a 350 V-8.
It actually said "Stage One" on the air cleaner, IIRC.
