  • Ca. smog question

I have a question regarding emissions here in California. I want to either swap to a b6 or add a intake cone, header and a catback exhaust to the b3. Basically all I want to know what mods can I do and still pass emissions.

As long as you don't mess with the cat and don't throw a code or ok. I believe the b6-e swap will pass under california smog tests. The only reason i say the b6-e will pass is because they do a visual inspection of the motor to what the have of a stovk picture on file. Just use the b3 valve cover and intake. Spare yourself the time and keep everything stock looking untill you pass the test. It will save you alot of hassle in the future.
