  • Where can I get speedo gears?

My speedo is about 5mph slow. Where can I get a different gear to correct this?

A speedo repair shop... or you can tell us if your problem is due to having bigger tires, rotating less revolutions per mile thus making the speedometer a tad slower.

If you can find the adj. needle on the back of the cluster , I am not sure if all of them have this , but the one I got from Mech-dj had the little tab marked + and - to speed up or slow down the motion .

So does that mean it says you're going -5 when you're stopped?

NO it means the police officer says I was doing 50 in a 45 mph zone.

Heck, I haven't seen a speedo repair shop in 25 years. I was hoping for something online.

Maybe his equipment was out of calibration!

Does anyone have a pic of this tab? I never noticed one on my clusters. My current tach cluster reads about 5 mph fast so I would love to be able to adjust it.

I doubt if I pull my tach dash out this week

But I will look at the stock cluster that is in the garage and see if it is on there.

I see it on the tach cluster when I had it apart , making a few internal adjustments

No I've checked it against several radars. Always reads 5 mph slow. I've got 155/80/13's on the car so it should be a little slow.
