i have been thinking of sinking some money in a another festiva engine and building it up to be a sleeper. i plan to put on a competition cam, header, build a cold air intake for it and a few other things. one of my ideas was to bore out the cylendar walls some and put bigger pistons in it. what my question is is are the cylendar walls thick enough to bore out and how much can i take off? also does anyone know what pistons would work best in it?

We have talked about this ,You can overbore ..BUT with all the small things that you cad do , like you want and the over bore ..maybe .010 -.020 over , which will not give you much performance .
You would be much happier with a B6 /B6T/BP/BPT swap .
It would prolly be cheaper doing a motor swap , with a cheap engine VS having a machine shop do the bore job and all new parts on the B3.------------------------------------------------

B6 is a 1.6 comes in a SOHC and DOHC------------------------------------------------

wut kind of mods do i have to do get one of those to go in. will the tranny i have on my B3 work on it or will i have to switch to something biggerit may not be fast but ill pass u when u run out of gasComment

Here is the easy way to bore out a 1.3. First you pull the head then you.... nah nevermind. The easy way is to get a b6. It's the same block and practically as easy as swapping in another b3. It IS a bored b3.
