  • Intake Swap

Can I swap the intake manifold from a B6 to my B3?? Just curious. I'm too lazy to do the whole swap and I like being able to see the valve cover and having the intake go to the side.

What would be the pros and cons performance wise if I did this? Would I gain any? Lose? Would it do any good at all? Or would it be the same?

Can the valve covers interchange between the B3 and B6?

    Thanks.

Yes you can swap the intake manifolds (as long as we are talking about SOHC motors), it will bolt to the B3 in the principle that you can bolt a B3 intake to a B6. This information can easily be found by searching. I doubt this would do any good, though.

I believe you can swap the valve covers between the SOHC B3 and the SOHC B6.

yes, you can swap the intakes. yes, you can swap the VC's (as noname said it must be SOHC on both)

would you gain anything? i doubt it, except for the fact that you will be able to set up a better CAI instead of having the intake run over the exhaust manifold. The TB's are the same size as well so you won't gain anything there.

but you won't loose anything and it'll look a lil nicer i suppose. Look around a bit, all this info has been posted b4.

You've got one, go take a look!

but i know the B3/B6 over the VC manifolds will swap, and someone put the side TB manifold on what had been an over the VC B6, so i would assume that it would also bolt to a B3...
