I'm planning on matching a B6D with a G series trans. I know some might suggest why, but I'd like to. I know the G series trans has a 22 tooth input spline as apposed to the 20 teeth on the F series. Can I use the entire clutch setup from a B6T (as it's clutch has 22 teeth right?) and will the B6T flywheel bolt up to the B6D? (cranks have same bolt pattern?)
One more question. What's the differance between a B6D block and the B6T other than a strengthened crank? Could they be swapped? Does anyone have stats on compression? Wiki says the bore and stroke on both are the same (78x78.4 mm), so technically, if swapped while keeping the same head, compression ratio's should not change right? (B6D 9.1:1 supposedly). This way if I find a cheap B6T block I can throw it in, have mounting for the half shaft and a stronger bottom end.
Oh one more... anyone do a B5 1.5 swap?
